Discovery

The award winning Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms is a great introduction to the area. Visitors become landscape detectives, exploring the natural environment in the same way that Charles Darwin did 200 years ago (he was born in Shrewsbury in 1809). Open daily from 10am, the Centre offers a friendly welcome, local information and excellent refreshments. Find out about local walks, Shuttle buses and events, and visit the excellent exhibition featuring a breathtaking (virtual) balloon ride over the Shropshire Hills.
