Free Advice for Businesses in South Shropshire

South Shropshire District Council has teamed up with Business Link to offer free advice sessions to any business in South Shropshire.

Any business can book a session on the second Tuesday of each month in one of the Market Towns (see reverse) in South Shropshire. You can book to see either a
Business Link Advisor (for general advice), a Planning Policy Officer from
the District Council (for any business related planning advice) or both advisors
on the same day.

PERFORMING ARTS SOCIETY

Someone purporting to be from the Performing Arts Society is telephoning accommodation establishments saying that a licence is needed if there is a television or radio in the letting bedroom. This is not the case.

We have been advised by one of our members of a scam going around in which the name CLARKE PETERSON.J appears, with bookings for numerous people for a week or two.

FREE ENERGY AUDITS FOR TOURISM BUSINESSES IN THE AONB AREA

If you are worried about the amount and cost of the energy you are using and you are a tourism business located in the Shropshire Hills AONB you could apply to have a free energy audit by the Marches Energy Agency.

The Shropshire Hills AINB Partnership has awarded the Marches Energy Agency a Sustainable Development Fund grant to carry out free energy audits and advice for 60 leisure & tourism businesses in the AONB area (B&B's, hotels, pubs, etc).
