Description

The Lowfield Inn is a beautiful country pub and inn set in the heart of the Shropshire/Powys countryside in the small village of Marton.

We pride ourselves on using locally sourced produce whenever possible and always have several of the best local ales on tap as well as the best wines from all over the world.

Our food is best described as ‘modern British’ in style (although don’t be surprised to see influences from other regions!) and we serve all day, every day.  Always freshly cooked to order, always the best produce and as local as possible.  Our menu is second to none and available all day, 7 days a week.  Whether you want a quick sandwich for lunch, an afternoon snack or a full leisurely dinner, we can look after you – all at great value.  We serve an excellent traditional Sunday Roast and have special meal deals from Sunday to Thursday.  For some samples, see our website, lowfieldinn.com.

Our spacious but still cosy bar area has comfortable sofas, large windows with stunning views of the hills and valleys and a roaring log fire for those chilly evenings.  Our large garden has fantastic views down the valley and over the hills and has plenty of space to sit, eat and drink for all the family.  Well behaved dogs are welcome to bring their owners and the well maintained garden is open all year round.  We also have a duck pond complete with several different breeds of duck!

We have 3 delightful en-suite double rooms and a private terrace where you can watch the sunset or rise over the Shropshire hills.  After a hard day’s walking, fishing, working or shopping in nearby Shrewsbury they are the perfect place for a good night’s sleep.  They are graded 4 star with VisitBritain and our tariffs include a full cooked breakfast or a special continental for those who need an extra early start.

We aim to give you the best and friendliest service possible, the highest quality food and drink in a comfortable, affordable and relaxed environment.  We very much hope to see you soon.
