DescriptionSix special cottages set around a peaceful, rural courtyard in the Corvedale. 5 miles from Ludlow. Cream teas and evening meals by arrangement. B&B also available. Sutton Court Farm cottages were converted from the barns surrounding the bright courtyard of a beautiful 16th century timbered farmhouse. Although this is no longer a working farm, it is surrounded by farming activity. The cottages enjoy rural tranquillity and provide a comfortable base to explore the surrounding area. Ludlow town is just 5 miles away and, with its castle, church and many historic buildings provides much scope for a day exploring with some excellent places to stop at for morning coffee, lunch-time snacks or gourmet dinners. Other local towns add to the atmosphere, with quiet Clun or bustling Cleobury Mortimer providing more opportunities to wander, shop and eat. The Long Mynd hills at Church Stretton give the chance to stretch the legs or you can find easier walks from the Secret Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms. The six cottages (Barleycorn, Woodsage, Sweetbriar, Hazelnut, Holly and Honeysuckle, sleeping 4, 6, 4, 4, 2 and 2 respectively) each have their own character with log-bumers in Barleycorn and Woodsage, a small, private garden for Holly and a romantic atmosphere in Honeysuckle. Sweetbriar offers a double bedroom and a second zip/link double/twin bedroom, ideal for two couples and Hazelnut has a luxurious comer bath in which to relax after a tiring day. All the cottages are fully equipped for self-catering, with in addition, colour TV's, videos and CD/radios. All bathrooms have toilet, wash basin and bath with over-bath shower. There is also a shared information room area, with pay-phone, laundry facilities and a small children's playroom. Horse riding, cycle hire, par 3 golf and fishing are available locally and a service offering Cream Teas or an Evening Meal is available given 24 hours notice. The cottages are open all year round and also offer Bed & Breakfast and Short Breaks from 2 nights.
