Jessamine Cottage is nestled in the small village of Little Stretton and is ideally placed to explore the Long Mynd and to take in the breathtaking scenery.

Jessamine cottage is nestled in the small village of Little Stretton which hosts a shop, church and two pubs who both serve excellent food at lunchtime and evenings. The cottage is ideally placed to explore the Long Mynd and its many walks and to take in the breathtaking scenery with a host of different birds and wildlife. Jessamine cottage is approximately 1 mile from the centre of Church Stretton and the main railway line. There is also a bus stop 20 yards from the cottage taking you to Craven Arms and Ludlow to the south, and into Church Stretton and onto Shrewsbury to the north.

There are many local places of interest within easy reach such as Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth, Ironbridge Gorge, Shrewsbury and Ludlow. A wealth of castles are close by in Shropshire and over the border in Wales. Some great examples are: Powis Castle in Welshpool, Ludlow Castle and Chirk Castle. If you prefer a gentle stroll around stunning gardens there are several within a short distance as well as major National Trust properties and the Severn Valley Steam Railway.

The beautiful cottage has ample parking for 3 cars and a large garden that attracts many different birds. The sunny conservatory is an ideal place to enjoy breakfast whilst taking in the views of the thatched church and hills beyond. In the lounge there are many original features including the beamed ceiling and wood burning fire which is a perfect setting for a cosy night in with a roaring fire after enjoying dinner in the separate dining room. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a luxurious four poster bed and spectacular views across the countryside. After a long day walking the hills of south Shropshire you can relax in the large corner bath before settling down in front of the wood burning fire.

Claire will ensure on your arrival a welcome hamper with all the basic essentials to help you settle in and enjoy the tastefully furnished cottage before exploring the local area. Jessamine cottage has a fully fitted kitched with microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. There is also Sky TV and a CD player for those evenings in! We can cater for children of all ages if you need highchairs etc. You will be sure of a peaceful and comfortable stay at Jessamine Cottage.

Directions

From the A49 at the traffic lights at Church Stretton turn to Town Centre. At the crossroads in the centre of Town turn left to Little Stretton. Approx 1 mile at Ragleth Pub turn left into Elms Lane. Jessamine Cottage is the first cottage on the left.
